There are innumerable benefits to actively performing on an instrument.  Throughout this year, I hope I have been effective in making all of you aware of the inherent value of participating in music throughout your child's school career and beyond. Performing music is an art that can be enjoyed one's entire life, as I am living proof. This final edition TED Ed video is a simple and effective cartoon that demonstrates what happens to our brains while we are PLAYING an instrument. Please take a few minutes to watch it and let me know what you think. It is a pleasure teaching your children every day!  All the best.
